里山では、農作物を食い荒らす野生動物による被害が深刻な問題となっています。 環境創造コースの2年生は、農村生活マイスター下水内支部の皆さんと連携し、被害が増加傾向にある野生動物への対策として「くくり罠」の設置実習を行いました。
事前の講義では、野生動物対策の必要性や地域の現状について学習。その後、野沢温泉村猟友会の皆さんのご指導のもと、実践的な罠の設置方法を習得しました。地域の方々と協力しながら、大切な農作物を守るための知識と技術を身につける貴重な機会となりました。
In rural areas where villages meet the mountains, crop damage caused by wild animals has become a serious problem.
Second-year students in the Environmental Creation Course worked with members of the local Rural Living Master association to learn about wildlife management. Together, they practiced setting snare traps as a countermeasure against increasing wildlife damage.
Before the fieldwork, students attended a lecture on the importance of wildlife management and the current situation in their region. Afterwards, they learned practical trapping techniques under the guidance of the Nozawa Onsen Village Hunting Association.
It was a valuable opportunity for the students to gain knowledge and hands-on skills to protect the crops that sustain local communities.
