環境創造コース３年生は各自が設定したテーマについて研究を行っています。「精油」をテーマにしたグループは、林産物を活用した芳香剤の製造に挑戦しています。数ある樹木から芳香が得られそうなものを採取して精油し、量的・質的に有望なものを選抜しています。様々な要因が採取量に影響しているようで、特定にはまだまだ時間がかかりそうです。
生活空間に森の香りを提供することを目指し、生徒は試行錯誤を繰り返しています。
Third-year students in the Environmental Creation course are conducting research on self-chosen themes. One group focusing on essential oils is trying to produce fragrances made from forest resources. They are collecting tree samples that are likely to yield aromatic oils and extracting essential oils from a variety of forest trees, looking for those that are promising on both quality and quantity. Various factors seem to affect the yield of oil, and identifying the most suitable wood will take more time.
The students continue their trial and error with new ideas to bring the scent of the forest into their living spaces.
