Volunteer students gathered by the Student Council took part in a bushin (cleanup) event organized by Nakamura Ward in Kijimadaira Village, on Saturday, April 19. The purpose of this activity was to help beautify and improve the local environment. Since our school is located there, students participate in this event every year.

Together with local residents, the students picked up cedar branches and fallen leaves that had accumulated during the winter in the grounds of Ichikawadani Omoto Shrine, located near our school. The cleanup took several hours. Bear sightings have been reported in the area, and this kind of activity also helps prevent damage from wildlife.
