農業生産環境のうち農業水利は、木島平村・飯山市のような稲作地帯においてとりわけ重要な要素です。11月14日（木）環境創造コース２年生は、飯山市の農業水利施設（長峰揚水機場・針子池・針子池揚水機場）や受益地帯（飯山市緑）の見学と木島平村の用水「上堰」の講演を聴講することを通して地域の農業水利について学びました。これは長野県地域振興局農地整備課様のご協力により実現したものです。
生徒は、日常目にすることのない施設を見学し、説明を聞き、時に質問をし、熱心にメモをとりました。講演からは、上堰や用水についての新しい知見を得ました。このように、歴史、役割、課題などについて学び、農業水利についての理解を深めました。
Water is a vital resource in rice farming areas such as Kijimadaira Village and Iiyama City. On Thursday, November 14th, 2nd-year students from the Environmental Creation Course explored regional agricultural water utilization through visits to agricultural water facilities in Iiyama City, such as Nagamine Pumping Station, Hariko Pond, Hariko Pond Pumping Station, as well as a beneficiary area, Midori, Iiyama City. They also attended a lecture on the “Uwasegi” water supply system in Kijimadaira Village. These were all organized and supported by the Agricultural Land Development Division of the Nagano Prefectural Regional Development Bureau.
During the tour, students visited facilities they had never seen before, listened actively to explanations, asked questions at times, and took detailed notes. The lectures provided new insights into the irrigation canal and the water system. As a result, the students deepened their understanding of the history, roles, and challenges of agricultural water use in our region.
