９月３０日（月）環境創造コース３年はチェーンソーの取り扱い技術の向上を目的に、木島平村道の駅ファームス木島平において北信州森林組合様に手配していただいた講師のもとチェーンソーアートに挑戦しました。このチェーンソーアートは、丸太をチェーンソーで切削し、生き物などの形にするものです。
伐木等の業務技能講習修了者だけあって、生徒は慣れた手つきで操作し作品を仕上げました。今回の制作課題は連日世間を賑わしている「熊」でした。生徒が作った「熊」は、それぞれ表情が異なっていて、実際に居そうな怖い顔つきのもの、かわいらしいものなど多様でした。
伐木技術があればアーティストにもなれそうですね。
On Monday, September 30th, third-year students from the Environmental Creation Course tried chainsaw art at FARMUS Kijimadaira, a roadside station in Kijimadaira Village. This hands-on lesson, organized by the Kitashinshu Forest Union, aimed to improve their chainsaw handling skills. In this chainsaw art, students curve logs into shapes like animals and other forms.
Having already completed their logging skills training, the students confidently operated the chainsaws and completed their artwork. Th theme of this project was a “bear,” which has been making the news headline recently. Each bear had a different facial expression: some were cute, while others were so scary that they actually seemed be alive.
With logging skills, you might have the potential to be an artist.
