本校が設定する科目「北信州学」（１年）では、地域の農林業やそれに関連する産業について、見学や体験を通して学びます。
学校から北へおよそ１０km進んだところに「北竜湖」（飯山市瑞穂）があり、そこでは遊歩道を歩き、また、カヌーやサップに乗り、湖の周囲に広がる自然を眺望することができます。
９月１７日（火）の北信州学では北竜湖でカヌー体験を行いました。初めて乗る人、そうで無い人、それぞれが湖の好きな場所にむかってオールで漕いでいきました。湖から眺める自然環境からどんなことを感じ取ったのか、その活用法としてどんなことを思い描いていくのか、今後の北信州学の授業が楽しみです。
In our unique subject “Kita-Shinshu Studies” class for the 1st year students, they learn about the local agriculture, forestry, and related industries through study tours and hands-on experiences.
About 10 km north of the school is Lake Hokuryu in Mizuho, Iiyama City, where tourists enjoy walking along a promenade, canoeing, SUP boarding, and viewing the natural beauty of the lake and its surroundings.
On Tuesday, September 17th, the Kita-Shinshu Studies class held a canoeing experience at Lake Hokuryu. Some students were canoeing for the first time, while others had experience, and each paddled towards their favorite spots on the lake.
We are looking forward to discovering what the students have felt about the natural environment viewed from the lake and how they will incorporate these experiences into their future studies.
