９月６日（金）環境創造コース３年生は、地域の国有林で高性能林業機械の操縦体験を行いました。北信州森林組合のみなさまのご指導のもと、スイングヤーダ・ハーベスタ・フォワーダを操縦しました。スイングヤーダをつかった集材、ハーベスタをつかった調整、フォワーダをつかった運搬機への積み込みを全員が体験しました。平坦地が少ない日本の山林においても、林業の機械化が進んでいることを生徒たちは実感したようです。
On Friday, September 6th, third-year students from the Environmental Creation Course had the opportunity to operate high-performance forestry machines in a local national forest. Guided by the Kita-Shinshu Forestry Association, students tried their hands at operating a swing yarder, a harvester, and a forwarder. All of them experienced collecting timber with the swing yarders, cutting and measuring timber with the harvesters, and loading it with the forwarders.
The students realized that mechanization in forestry is progressing even in Japan’s mountain forests, where flat land is scarce.
