本校がある木島平村には、江戸時代に掘削された用水「上堰」が、今も広範囲の水田に水を供給しています。
９月２日（月）環境創造コース２年生は、「上堰」の水質調査にでかけました。これは地域の水環境を知ることや、農業用水の役割を学ぶことを目的とするものです。生徒は上堰を上流から下流（学校）までの間で４か所において水質（水温・pH・BOD）を調査しました。今後、得られたデータを整理して、昨年度の調査結果などと比較しながらレポートを作成する予定です。
Our school is located in Kijimadaira Village, famous for its rice. In this area, an irrigation canal excavated during the Edo period still supplies water to a wide range of paddy fields. This canal and its water are known as “Uwasegi.”
On Monday, September 2nd, second-year students from the Environmental Creation Course conducted a field survey on the water quality of the Uwasegi. This research helps students understand the local water environment and the role of agricultural water. They tested water quality (temperature, pH, and BOD) at four locations from upstream to downstream (near the school). The students plan to analyze the collected data and compare it with last year’s survey results and other data to prepare a comprehensive report.
