Our school’s festival, the Norin Festival, was held on Friday, July 19th, and Saturday, July 20th. This was the 77th school festival, with the theme of “Ungai Soten,” which means beautiful scenery is waiting for you after overcoming hardship. This year, we extended the hours open to the public compared to last year.
On the first day, class stage presentations and a mid-festival event were held. Students united as a class to perform dances and drama plays that excited the audience.
The second day was open to the public. We welcomed visitors from local communities, parents, and more. In the courtyard, there were stalls selling yakisoba (fried noodles), French fries, shaved ice, vegetables, and processed products made at Norin High School. In the school building, people enjoyed exhibitions and attractions by each class and club, as well as soba noodle-making demonstrations. In front of the building, they enjoyed animal petting, horseback riding, and more. After the open house, an evening festival was held, featuring performances by volunteer student groups and a dance performance by all the students.
Thank you to all the local residents and parents for coming to the festival.
