農林の3年生には様々な選択科目があり、実用英語もその一つです。この英語の授業では、日常的で実用的な状況を題材にした言語活動を通して、英語力の向上を図っています。 先日は、求人チラシを読んでそれに応募するという活動を行いました。主な条件をざっと読んだ後、面接に備え、志望動機や職歴、勤務可能な時間帯など、チラシに記載された条件に従って質問に答える準備をしました。その後、ALTも加わり、生徒たちは２人１組で面接官役と応募者役になり、面接練習をしました。自己表現力と適切な言語運用力が求められ、生徒は楽しみながら英語を使用する良い機会となりました。
Third-year students at Norin have various electives, and Practical English is one of them. In this English class, students practice and improve their English skills through activities related to daily situations.
Recently, they engaged in an activity where they read job flyers and applied for one of them. After skimming key conditions, they prepared for a job interview, answering questions about their motivations, work experience, availability, and other relevant details according to the conditions shown in the flyer. Then, an ALT joined in, and the students practiced speaking in pairs, playing the roles of interviewer and applicant. Overall, it was a valuable practice session that required self-expression and appropriate use of linguistic skills.
