環境創造コース３年生は、9月11日（金）に木島平村内にある高社山にて高性能林業機械研修を行いました。スマート林業の授業で学習してきた林業の先端機械を、実際の林業現場で体験しました。
体験した機械は、樹木の切り倒し・枝の除去・丸太の切り分けを1台で行える「ハーベスタ」、切り出した木材の積載と運搬ができる「フォワーダ」など、林業現場で大活躍の高性能機械ばかり！
普段触れることのない機械に「難しかったけど面白い！」「もっと操縦したい！」などの声が聞かれ、林業現場での先端技術を理解する貴重な体験となりました。
On Friday, September 11, third-year students from the Environmental Creation Course practiced operating high-performance forestry machinery at Mt. Kosha in Kijimadaira Village. They had been learning about advanced forestry machinery in the Smart Forestry class and had a chance to operate it themselves that day.
They operated high-performance machinery that is widely used in the forestry industry. One was a “Harvester,” which can cut down trees, remove branches, and cut the trees into logs—all with just one machine. Another was a “Forwarder,” which can load and carry logs.
After operating machinery that they don’t usually have a chance to use, students said, “It was hard but fun!” and “I want to operate the machines more!” It was a valuable hands-on experience to learn about advanced forestry machinery.
