環境創造コース2年生は6月9日（火）、梅雨空の下で校外研修を行いました。この研修は、地域の砂防堰堤の施工現場の見学や、同社本店での講義と実習を通して、地域防災とそれを支える建設業への理解を深めることを目的としたものです。株式会社フクザワコーポレーション様、国土交通省北陸地方整備局湯沢砂防事務所様のご協力により実施しました。
午前は、木島平村上千石にある県内最大級の透過型砂防堰堤と、飯山市富倉の副堰堤の施工現場を見学しました。午後は、同社による講義を受け、同事務所による模型を使った説明を通して、砂防堰堤の効果を学びました。その後、フレッシュコンクリートの「スランプ試験」「空気量測定」「塩化物含有量試験」に加え、バイブレーターで空気や水分を抜く作業や、建設車両の乗車・操作も体験しました。
研修を終えた生徒からは、次のような声が聞かれました。
「普段は砂防堰堤を見かけても意識することはありませんでしたが、今回の研修で大切な役割があることを学びました。」
「建設業に興味がわき、将来はこのような仕事に就いてみたいと思いました。」
生徒たちは、多くの学びを得ることができました。ご指導いただいた関係の皆様に、心より感謝申し上げます。
Second-year students in the Environmental Creation Course participated in an off-campus study tour on Tuesday, June 9, under cloudy skies. This tour aimed to help students better understand regional disaster prevention and the construction industry that supports it through visits to local sediment control dam construction sites, lectures, and hands-on activities at the company's headquarters. This training was supported by Fukuzawa Corporation and the Yuzawa Sediment Control Office of the Hokuriku Regional Development Bureau, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
In the morning, students visited the construction sites of the prefecture's largest permeable sediment control dam in Kamisengoku, Kijimadaira Village, and a secondary dam in Tomikura, Iiyama City. In the afternoon, they attended a lecture by the company and learned about how sediment control dams work through explanations using miniature models. Afterward, they experienced fresh concrete slump tests, air content measurements, and chloride content tests. They also watched how air and water were removed with a vibrator and had the chance to ride in and operate construction vehicles.
After the training, students shared their thoughts:
"I usually don't pay much attention to sediment control dams, even when I see them, but through this training I learned that they play an important role."
"I've become interested in the construction industry, and I'd like to work in this field in the future."
