「実用英語」は3年生向けの選択科目の一つです。生徒たちは、日常的な場面での会話力を養うことに取り組んでいます。
前回の授業では、さまざまな薬の用法・用量や服用方法などが記載された英語の説明を読みました。今回の授業では、その情報をもとにロールプレイを行いました。ペアになり、一人がシナリオに基づいて薬剤師役のパートナーからの質問に答えました。その後、生徒たちは薬の情報を素早く読み返し、最適な薬をアドバイスしました。
この活動は、リアルな状況に近いもので難しい面もありましたが、困難さがむしろやる気を引き出したようです。生徒たちは熱心に活動に取り組んでいました。
Practical English is one of the elective classes for third-year students. Students work on developing speaking skills for everyday situations.
In the last class, they read flyers that included indications and directions for various medicines. In this class, they tried role-play tasks based on the flyers. In pairs, one student answered questions from their partner, who played a pharmacist, based on a scenario. Then, they had to recommend the best medicine by quickly reading the flyers again.
This practice, which was close to real-life situations, seemed difficult but helped motivate the students. They worked very hard throughout the activity.
