On January 31, our school held a Project Research Presentation Day where third-year students presented their work at Iiyama City Cultural Exchange Center Nachura. Project Research is a year-long program in which students work in small groups to explore a theme a theme they chose based on their interests. On the day of the event, students gave practical presentations connected to our region, such as developing new products using local specialties, protecting traditional culture, and tackling food loss.
Many local residents attended the event, and although the students were nervous, they confidently shared the results of their work. Each presentation reflected the students’ trial and error, their continued effort, and their teamwork. The event was a meaningful opportunity to show what they had learned throughout the year. We will continue to value learning in collaboration with the local community.
