環境創造コース2年生は10月14日（火）地域防災、特にSABOを学ぶことを目的として秋山郷（長野県下水内郡栄村）にて研修しました。これは、国土交通省北陸地方整備局湯沢砂防事務所、フクザワコーポレーション（飯山市）のご協力により実施されたものです。
秋山郷総合センター「とねんぼ」では講義があり、同社よりSABOと建設業の役割についてわかりやすくご説明いただきました。同事務所による模型を用いた説明では、砂防ダムの役割が視覚的に捉えることができて、生徒は感心していました。
引き続き、砂防堰堤の建設現場を見学しました。砂防堰堤の工期や工法などについて説明をうけました。現場作業で使われているダンプカーやバックホーの試乗、カニクレーンの操作、そして、コンクリート打設を体験しました。
研修を通し、生徒はSABOや建設業に対する理解を深めた1日となりました。ご指導いただいた皆様にこころより感謝申し上げます。
On Tuesday, October 14th, second-year students of the Environmental Creation Course took part in a field training program in Akiyamago, Sakae Village, Shimominochi District, Nagano Prefecture. They visited the site to learn about local disaster prevention, especially SABO (erosion and sediment control). The program was supported by the Yuzawa SABO Office, Hokuriku Regional Development Bureau, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, and Fukuzawa Corporation (Iiyama City).
At the Akiyamago Community Center “Tonembo,” students attended a lecture in which staff members from Fukuzawa Corporation explained the role of SABO and the construction industry in a clear and simple way. Staff from the Yuzawa SABO Office also gave a presentation using models to show how SABO dams work. Students realized the importance of SABO and were impressed by how it works.
The students then visited an active SABO dam construction site, where they learned about construction schedules and methods. They also had the opportunity to experience on-site activities, including riding in dump trucks and backhoes, operating a mini crane, and pouring concrete.
Through this training, students learned more about SABO and the work of the construction industry. We thank everyone who helped us with this study trip.
