１年生の農業と環境の授業では、生徒たちは2種類のひよこのスケッチをもう一度描きました。わずか1週間で、ひよこたちは見違えるように成長していました。「たった1週間でこんなに大きくなった！」「立ち姿が違う」「お互いをつつき合わなくなっている」など、生徒は観察から発見していました。こうした実習での観察を通して、教科書に載っていないことを学ぶことができるのも農業高校ならではですね。
In the first-year Agriculture and Environment class, students made a second sketch of two kinds of chicks. After just one week, the chicks had changed remarkably. looked different. Students commented, “In just a week they’ve grown so much!”, “The way they stand is different.” and “They are not pecking at each other anymore.” Through these hands-on observations, they learned what can’t be found in textbooks — one of the appeals of an agricultural high school.
