１年生の英語の授業では、自分たちでオリジナルのスキットを作り、カジュアルな日常会話を練習しました。ペアでスキットを使って練習した後、よりスムーズで自然な会話の流れを作るために、フォローアップの質問を入れたスキットを書きました。また、 “Do you like ～ or something?” や “Not really” など、実用的で丁寧な表現も練習しました。YesとNo両方の返答に対しても想定したスキットを使って実際に会話をして盛り上がりました。このような活動を通して、子どもたちが英語を話すことに自信を持てるようになることを願っています。
In the first-year English class, students practiced casual daily conversations by creating their own original skits. After practicing set skits in pairs, they wrote skits that included follow-up questions to help the conversation flow more smoothly and naturally. They also practiced practical and polite expressions, such as saying “Do you like ～ or something?” and “Not really.” Then, they tried more flexible conversations in pairs, using the skits that prepared both “yes” and “no” response patterns. They successfully enjoyed the activity and had fun talking with each other. We hope these activities help them gain more confidence in speaking English.
