　　 Sarashina Nogyou High School is a historic high school.   We will celebrate a centenary in
　　 2007.This school has played an important part in the growth of this region’s agriculture.

　　 More than 15,000 graduates are active in all kinds of fields. Our aim is to cultivate
　　 students' aesthetic sensitivity through growing flowers and vegetables.

　　 Since 2000, our school has been accepting applications for admission collectively. In the
　　 second year, students can select one from among 10 courses (Productive Technology,
　　 Distribution and Economy, Regional Environment, Food Production, Environment and
　　 Technology, Food Science, Vegetable Growing, Industrial Design, Fruit Growing, and
　　 Horticultural Design).

　　 60% of the graduates are successful in entering university, junior college or vocational
　　 school, and 40% take jobs in many kinds of fields.

　　 School activities are numerous with 12 agricultural clubs, 8 cultural clubs and 9 sports
　　 clubs.
