All of the students will attend an English Camp for at least one night and two days. With the help of English teachers and native English speakers (usually volunteer AETs from the Jet Program), they will experience a life in which English is the only language used. Activities such as songs, games, presentations, skits, mock debates, are sure to enhance conversation skills!
All students will be given the chance to go on class excursions, designed to deepen their understanding of foreign cultures and Japanese culture. Through these trips, students will be introduced to many new ideas, traditions, and cultures, opening the door to countless options for possibly future courses of study. Foreign embassies, international enterprises, the National Library, the National Museum, the National Theater, American schools, universities, and the Metropolitan Bus Tour (guided in English) are only some of our possible destinations.
We are expecting speakers from professional and private arenas who are taking active roles on the international stage.
Students will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and form relationships with international students and area AETs.
Students interested in taking part in the yearly prefectural debate tournament will be given qualified instruction and time to practice.
